Rapid City, Michigan

Rapid City is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kalkaska County in the U.S. state of Michigan. At the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 1,352. Rapid City is located within Clearwater Township.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has an area of 5.50 square miles (14.24 km2), of which 5.41 square miles (14.01 km2) is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 km2) (1.64%) is water.[1] The community is located on the Rapid River with Torch Lake to the north.
